at 1056 pm pdt, doppler radar indicated strong Thunderstorms, capable of producing winds to around 30 knots and small hail. These Thunderstorms were located along a line extending from 12 nm northwest of cape mendocino to 37 nm southwest of eureka, moving northeast at 25 knots.

Synopsis for northern california waters..Winds will remain generally westerly Sunday then turn southerly Monday as a cold front moves through the waters. Ridging will build over the west coast through the week allowing surface high pressure to strengthen off the coast. Northerly winds will increase with gales likely beginning as early as Tuesday. Waves will become very steep as the winds ramp up.
